Oman is set to make a strong presence at the Gulf Youth Games in the United Arab Emirates, with a formidable delegation comprising 14 teams.

In a significant announcement, the Sultanate of Oman confirms its participation in the inaugural Gulf Youth Games (GYG) set to commence in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from April 16 to May 2, 2024.

During a press briefing convened today, the Oman Olympic Committee revealed that a robust contingent of 133 athletes will proudly represent Oman at the prestigious event. This formidable team is slated to compete across 14 diverse disciplines, including sailing, football, golf, taekwondo, water sports, athletics, handball, volleyball, basketball, chess, fencing, table tennis, billiards, snooker, and equestrian sports.

The participation of Oman in the inaugural edition of the Gulf Youth Games underscores the nation’s steadfast commitment to nurturing sporting talent and fostering regional collaboration.
