Today, certain regions of the Hajar Mountains, as well as the Al Wusta and Dhofar governorates, experienced sporadic rainfall. The Meteorology General Directorate’s weather forecast stated: “Generally, the weather across the Sultanate of Oman remains clear, characterized by the presence of high and medium clouds, with anticipations of isolated rain showers in portions of the Hajar Mountains, as well as the Al Wusta and Dhofar governorates.”
The statement further elaborated, “There is a likelihood of low-lying clouds or fog forming late at night and during the early morning hours, primarily over the governorates of South Al Sharqiyah, Al Wusta, and Dhofar.”
Moreover, the active movement of winds in desert and open areas might contribute to dust storms, resulting in decreased horizontal visibility.
